Loki hosts finished web JavaScript games. Support for Unity, Godot, iOS, and Android are coming soon. Loki hosts the finished browser build, scans it, isolates it, and runs rooms on the same playable URL. You keep the game. You still fine-tune that game after the package lands.

Quickstart

Create a project, install @lokiplay/sdk@0.5.8, connect, and ship a URL.

How Loki works

Host or server authority, finished builds, and the same play link after every ship.

Choose a room type

Synchronized for turns and events. Realtime for a continuous host sim.

Agent rules

The same contract as AGENTS.md. No invented servers. Fine-tune after install.

Packages

PackageRole
@lokiplay/sdkRuntime client. Required for multiplayer.
lokiplayCLI: login, connect, validate, ship.
@lokiplay/ui-webOptional overlay: status, roster, invite copy, chat. Does not create or join rooms.
@lokiplay/mcpAgent tooling. Do not ship it in the game bundle.
@lokiplay/protocolShared schemas. Install only if the SDK already requires it.

Pin the exact published version for types and local development. Current release: 0.5.8. In production Loki serves the SDK from the game host, so leave @lokiplay/sdk external in the production build.

npm install @lokiplay/sdk@0.5.8

What is in Layer 1

Private and unlisted hosting. Immutable releases on a stable play link. Host-authoritative rooms, and opt-in server authority when the build includes a pure step module. Invites, public rooms, and fill-N matchmaking. Presence. Lobby and match chat. Private leaderboards. Reconnect and host migration. JavaScript SDK.

What is not in Layer 1

Tips, ads, and payouts. Friends, parties, and public leaderboards. Ranked anti-cheat. Native clients in realtime rooms. A creator-uploaded Node server. Server authority is a Loki-run step module, not your own backend.
